Happy Lunar New Year! We say goodbye to the rooster, and welcome the year of the Dog. Five Aussie artists have transformed the iconic flame towers outside Crown riverwalk into fire-breathing dragons. Do you remember this storm? 35 years ago today on February 8th, 1983, a massive dust storm advanced on Melbourne. Hitting the city at 3pm, visibility dropped to around 100m as the storm dumped approximately 1,000 tonnes of topsoil on the city. #melbweather #throwbackthursday #melbourne #history

We’re very excited about our new bins. They were installed last night. They’re solar powered, alerting us when they need to be emptied. They take up less space on the footpath and will reduce the number of overflowing bins. And, they hold a lot more material than existing litter bins. So now, we’ll be able to be more efficient with waste collection, reducing our overall impact on the environment.
